Ran across the "comment" below while at Pocket Books' website (I was researching something). Various people have left all sorts of comments, mostly asking how to submit a manuscript or looking for out-of-print books. But, this one takes the cake. I must start reading Star Trek novels, evidently.

I could not finish the book "Star Trek -The Case of the Colonist's Corpse" because of the homosexual behavior touted in the story. My message to you is this - I am concerned that there are thousands of readers just like myself who just want to read entertaining stories, and our reaction to the pushing of the homosexual agenda could affect your bottom line. You might want to consider a change in policy to one of putting non-offensive material in a book meant to entertain.

You know- I had the same kind of problem with "Gone With The Wind."

That heterosexual agenda, however subtle, was just being pushed right and left.

And all I wanted to do was read a good, old fashioned story about southern belles, the civil war and the many virtues of slavery.

I too am concerned that there might be thousands of readers like me who object to such offensive material!

(Wait- what's that you say? The whole book is offensive? To women and African Americans and historians... ? Eee gad! Well that just puts Star Trek to shame!)

Um so this guy obviously won't be reading that Kirk/Spock fanfiction thing i heard about on the Trekkies doco. Or any of those other fan fics then.

I bet he didn't watch the other Star Trek Sequels then coz all sorts of things went on there.

Like in Next gen when Dr. Crusher fell in love with a trill who got killed and they moved the still live symbiote to a women and there were still some feelings there.

Or in DS9 my personal fave series, with the mirror universe Kira who is a v cool dominatrix like bisexual megalomaniac.

Who later on had an affair with the uber sexy mirror universe Ezri Dax.

Or that time That Jadzia Dax was reunited with another trill who had the symbiont that the Dax symbiont used to be married to and they decided to break all the Trill rules and like get back together and elope, only this time the other symbionts host was a woman.

And while we're at it what about all that other dodgy alien sex thats going on.

Wow. Now I'm suddenly interested in Star Trek. It never really appealed to me before. I didn't realize there was so much sex going on out there.
